This is the final illustration that yesterday’s sketches were working up to. Still don’t remember exactly what we used it for.

You know, I don’t like this drawing, for somewhat indefinable reasons.

Maybe because it looks like he’s only got one leg? That bugs me about the drawing every time I look at it. When I drew it I imagined that his stance was so tight that you wouldn’t be able to see his other leg. That was a mistake.
Eh. I think it reminds me too much of the clip art books that we used at the newspaper. “Hark! Big Savings Inside!”
The one-legged thing is kinda strange. I think if you could only see one arm, it might be better, like looking at a Marine standing at attention.
