Sketchin’ the Squad. Any guesses as to who is represented here?

Let’s see … counter-clockwise from upper left: Woggle-Bug, Dorothy, Scarecrow, Wizard, indistinct sketches, Hammerhead, ?, Ozga?, Tin Woodman … Is that the Tin Woodman with the egg-shaped head?
There’s a character I’ve had in mind for years that your Tin guy looks rather like. Tic-Tac-Toe, another mechanical man from the Smith & Tinker workshop. Tic-Tac-Toe was made to play games … plus which his clockworks make a sorta tic-tac-toe sound. Yet another someday project!
That’s Ozma actually. Not exactly what she looks in Oz Squad but close.
No Nick Chopper on this page. That’s TikTok. Not the TikTok that went insane in the early issues of Oz Squad, however. This one is based on a TikTok costume from one of Baum’s Oz stage plays. Steve Ahlquist is an incredible Oz nerd.
That’s right. I have seen your Tin Woodman and that doesn’t match. Baum tried to rekindle the bonfire of success with The Tik-Tok Man of Oz. Bomb!
Anyone concerned with continuity in Oz stories just has to look at the weird variations Baum himself applied to Oz. If Baum were writing today he’d probably be working television.
