I like formal wear and fashions prior to the 1960s. Suits, ties and hats just look cool. I wouldn’t trade the need to dress up for today’s casual comforts but drawing all that cloth is fun.

I’ve got piles upon piles of fashion books from the 1930s to the 1950s. I love it, too; I based a lot of architectural aesthetic and mojo of Ten-Ghost’s world on that time period. Some of the men’s clothing not only looks good, but it feels good both wearing it and relaxing your way out of it. On the other hand, some of the meat grinders they put women into don’t look like they’d feel good to wear at all.
Men’s fashion has generally been more relaxing and less restrictive than women’s. And, except for that unfortunate period when men wore tights and codpieces, the clothes seem like I’d feel comfortable wearing them.
