Out of the Wastelands – Black and White
If all goes well I’ll be doing some illustrations for the Mutilator: Survivors of the Wasteland RPG sometime this year. The above illustration was inspired by the two cartoons that are on the linked webpage.

Welcome 2016!
Happy New Year!
I’ll be posting on a regular schedule beginning on the 3rd. I’ve been working on new sketches/illustrations. I’m practicing both my inking and my coloring skills.
On the inking front I’m focusing on doing simple line work accentuated with spot blacks. I’m then digitally coloring the finished inks using Photoshop. I’m also keeping my color work as simple as possible – limited colors, limited effects. My goal is to speed up my ability to produce finished color art. Some of the results will be … kind of crude.
I’ll be posting twice a week. The black and white line art will post on Sunday. The colored version will post on Wednesday. Thank you for visiting!
Previews for 2016
I’m taking a bit of a break. Unlike the last, long and unintended hiatus, this one is planned. These last few weeks I’ve been posting daily – partly because I had some sketches that I could share; partly because I wanted to kickstart myself back into posting regularly. Unfortunately I’m now out of readily available art. Fortunately the process of posting the older sketches has inspired me to work on new art.
My time is still pretty limited. The day job is most demanding this month. I’ve got some illustration commissions to fill the little time I have available once I get off work. So I’m taking the rest of December off. I’ll be back in January with new illustrations. I’m expecting to post once, maybe twice, a week rather than daily. Below are the rough sketches that I’ll be using to create more finished illustrations.
See you in January!
