Tanks and Knitting Needles

Today I will be using Google to locate and print out images of Panzer tanks and knitting needles. For drawing reference. I checked around yesterday morning for tank images and discovered that there are quite a few to chose from, many of them images of tank models rather than actual images of actual tanks. Not that that’s a problem. I’m drawing a retrofitted Panzer. Now I’ve got to print out a bunch of them so they are available for handy checkbacks. I’m pretty sure I know what knitting needles look like but it never hurts to check.

Work on the Who’s Who pages has had to be set aside to get some other work done. I will mention it whenever I post another entry.

I’m feeling healthier this morning. Not great. I’ll still probably hit the sack early tonight. And therefore not get much drawn. I’m bringing my sketchbook to work in case things are slow enough for me to play. I’ve got a number of characters that I need to get down before I start needing to include them in actual comic pages.

I’ll Be Dead Within The Hour

I suspect that I’m coming down with a cold. The weather has been warm. I’ve been relatively productive. Perfect time for a crash. I’ve got that scratchy feeling in the back of my throat that just won’t go away. This has often been the precursor to the nose that won’t stop producing snot. I plan to go gargle with salt water (one of BigSis’s favorite tricks) and go to bed early.

Should I be seeing purple centipedes crawling under other people’s skin?

Highlights of Another Exciting Weekend

Saturday – got new tires, sold extra books (got more than I expected and they took less than I expected), napped, drew a new Trot and also a Cap’n Bill, watched Head in the Clouds, a sweeping historical romance with a real bummer of an ending and The Fearless Vampire Killers, a comedy that was entirely too slow for my tastes.

Sunday – mowed the lawn, fried up some turkey bacon, drank a couple of bottles of wine, went shopping, drew a Nick Chopper. Not necessarily in that order.

Waiting for the Caffeine to Kick In

Today we go spend some money. Cause we’ve got some. Wouldn’t want to hang on to it too long now would we? We’re getting new tires for the car. It’s needed them for about two years now. While those are getting put on we’ll have some of our unloved and duplicate books getting traded in at Epilogue Books. Then Nizzibet gets a hair cut and we go buy some clothes. Big plans for the day. I’m so jealous of us.

On the Drawing Board

Actually on the Dining Room Table – I gave JDogg my drawing board when he moved out –

In sketch form – the Gump

Waiting to be inked – a couple of Hammerheads, Glinda, T.M. Wogglebug, the Glass Cat and the last of the Tcho-tcho illustrations. (The Tcho-tchos are for The Black Seal not Oz Squad.)

Waiting for shading and photoshopping – the Sawhorse

Waiting to be redrawn – Trot (Nothing wrong with the drawing. It’s … dull. Trot is a livelier person.)

I’ve bowed out of doing illustrations for the Sasquatch Chronicles. I was already running late and with needing to pack up, paint and move I just saw myself getting later.

I also have quite a few kaiju waiting to get worked on but I don’t see myself getting back to those for a few weeks. Or more.

Obligatory Morning Post

Added info about Oz Story to the Oz Comics pages. I’d provide links but the cat has decided that she wants my attention this morning and doesn’t appreciate me trying to type when she thinks my hands could be better used to scratch her.

More Oz Squad Schtuff

The Hungry Tiger and the Kalidah pages are now up. I’m not sure if I’ll keep the character history for the kalidah. I can’t tell if what I wrote was actually amusing or just a poor reflection of what was amusing when I first thought it. I’ll have to reread it in a couple of weeks and see how it hits me then.
