Tuesday

Added images of Oz-Story to the Oz comics page.

Not much to show otherwise. I have writing to do for the Who’s Who pages. More drawing for that as well. One more illustration for the Chaucha article. I’ve set the end of May as my deadline to finish the Sacrifice comic.

A friend’s father passed away this weekend. Not unexpected. He had a bad heart and he’s had a few heart attacks already. Apparently he finally got hit by one that he couldn’t recover from. I’ve been trying to reach my friend without luck since I heard on Sunday.

Added image links for the Hungry Tiger and a Kalidah to the Oz Squad Who’s Who page. Since I haven’t written entries for those characters yet the links don’t go anywhere.

Another Victim of Bigfoot

Bigfoot has been videotaped. Maybe. The gentleman who did the videotaping has sent the tape (digital video apparently) to be enhanced so it can be determined whether or not he’s really got a bigfoot there.

I sort of feel sorry for the guy. I doubt he had a clue what he was getting into when he let the world know what he thought he’d taped. And no matter how clear the critter was to his eyes unless his tape shows something clearer than the Patterson film he doesn’t have much. Even if it’s as clear as the Patterson film he still doesn’t have much. Contrary to popular belief Roger Patterson didn’t get rich off that film.

And without a big ol’ stinky sasquatch corpse the general belief in bigfoot’s existence will stay the same. Never mind that’s there’s more evidence for bigfoot than there was for WMD in Iraq. I’m not saying that there really is a North American Ape. I don’t know. I haven’t seen him and the closest I get to the woods these days is looking at the Olympics from Golden Gardens.

By Popular Demand

Okay Bro, I’m going to see if I can post every day. That means quite a few of these post are going to be of the “I spent last night drawing X but didn’t finish it” variety. You have been warned.

Last night? I’d planned to work on one of the Sasquatch Chronicles illustrations but Nizzibet was feeling squished by the Sads and so needed me to join her in front of the tube watching a movie. Riding the Bullet isn’t a bad movie. It’s not a really good one either but I found it interesting enough that I felt like I wanted to know how it would end. I kept my drawing pad with me. Drew a pretty good kalidah for the Who’s Who in Oz Squad page.

After I tucked Nizzibet in for the night I did some more drawing, just intending to sketch out the Hungry Tiger so I could do full pencils later. I ended up doing a full pencil drawing.

I won’t be doing inks on either piece, or working on anything else, tonight – I’m going to the Seattle Art Museum with Big Sister. There won’t be time for anything but sleep after that.

Just One Misspelling …

Lambiek.net added their bio of me to the Comiclopedia yesterday. So, if you’ve somehow wandered over here based on the link there – howdy!

The bio is just as I wrote it except for the mention of Sentient 39. I’d left it off because of the lack of activity to the site of late. Now I fear I’ll have to actually finish those next few entries that I’ve had sitting on my hard drive for, what, a year? It may not have been that long but I suspect it is.

Work In Progress Hiatus

My Oz comics page is done for the moment. I’ll need to add info about the Captain Carrot Oz Wonderland War miniseries but, for now, I can’t stand to look at the page. Tired of it. On to the next project for a week or so. Feel free to leave comments, clarification or suggestions in the comments.

Off to draw hideous Chauchau rituals.
