As you can see by the date this sketch was done the same day as the sketch I posted yesterday. As with the other sketch I just started drawing. The only thought I had was that I would draw a woman. You’ll have to ask her what she plans to do with that … whatever that is.
Deadtime Sketches

The next few posts are of sketches I did recently at the day job. It’s not that things were slow. I just haven’t been able to draw much either at home or at work and I really really needed to. A lot of the time when I haven’t been drawing much I end up with pages of unfinished overlapping indistinct shapes; a riot of images that I can’t focus on enough to complete any particular one. Somehow these sketches resulted in complete images.
I just let myself draw whatever came to mind. In fact, I purposely avoided drawing anything I might have drawn before. I have no idea what this thing is.

If you haven’t listened to the first couple of episodes of The Unspeakable and the Inhuman yet you can find them here. These are the pilot episodes that were done back in 2006. Some of the cast has changed for the regular production. The first episode starts playing immediately when the page loads you might not want to check it out at work.

The rest of the illustrations for The Unspeakable and the Inhuman website (not yet online) are random Mythos related illustrations. Tim made suggestions and then I ran with them. This could be a ghoul, an inbred cousin or some other, unnamed thing.

This is Ryan. Ryan is the engineer (I think) for The Unspeakable and the Inhuman. I don’t remember ever meeting him and I only had one wonky photo to work from. Hopefully he wasn’t too repulsed by the result here.

Tim asked for portraits of main creators of The Unspeakable and the Inhuman. This is Derek Fetters, producer and co-writer. He was the easiest to draw since I’ve known him for over a decade now. He was the best man at Nizzibet’s and my wedding in Seattle in 2001.
