Bah. What free time I’ve got is going toward finishing illustrations for Terrors From Beyond. Add in the Nephew’s birthday, a visit from Little Sister and that Christmas thing and I don’t see myself getting much posted in the next month. So I’m officially taking December off. I’ll be back on New Year’s Day.

Not sure when I’ll have a chance to restart with the sketchbooks. Busy busy. Anybody want to borrow a twelve year old for a few days?
I did this piece as sort of a palette cleaner after finishing up the Basic Roleplaying illustrations. For the earlier version I did of this creature I tried to stick closer to the monster’s original done-on-the-cheap design. This time I just let my imagination go where it wanted.
This is the last of the illustrations I did for Two Heads Talk.

Here’s the second of the four heads.
A few years back Steven Grant, in his Comicbookresources.com column, had a feature he called Two Heads Talk. Toward the end of the feature’s run he asked for contributions of art. If he chose your illustration then he’d include a link to any website you might want to promote. I worked up and sent four illustrations. They were never used. I honestly don’t know if he ever got them. He reported email and computer problems during that time and the feature didn’t run for long afterwards.
This illustration was sample art for someone who was interested in having me illustrate a comic strip. As far as I know they weren’t specifically interested in me illustrating the strip, just someone. There was the possibility of pay involved so I worked up this piece to show what I could do. I didn’t hear back from them.
I’m assuming that they were eaten by wolverines. It’s very sad.
Today begins what I call the Rejected Series. I’ll be posting finished illustrations that, for whatever reason, didn’t get used. The person who asked for this one wanted an illustration of someone laughing his head off. So that’s what he got. Trouble is, the person who asked for the drawing had a more staid picture of what he wanted than I produced.
