Anyone can be a mentor to a young person. You might think you have nothing to contribute but kids are still ignorant about the world. Your nothing is more than their something.

After a storm or other natural disaster some people turn up missing and then never turn up again at all. It is often assumed that they have died. Or taken the opportunity to change their identity and start a new life. But anyone who grew up reading the Oz books knows where they really went.
